The Riviera 58 was the largest production boat of her type produced in Australia when she was introduced in 2003. Designed for long range cruising or fishing, she’s constructed to the same tough standards as all Rivieras with a forward collision bulkhead and separate watertight compartments throughout the hull. Building an enclosed bridge on a 58-foot hull might easily result in a top-heavy profile, but the Riviera’s lines are balanced and particularly easy on the eye. Below deck, her luxurious four-stateroom interior is a conservative blend of earth-tone fabrics, vinyl overheads, and high-gloss cherry cabinetry. The galley is forward in the spacious salon, and the fourth stateroom—amidships on the starboard side—can easily be configured as an office. Although geared toward family cruising, the cockpit is fitted with a small transom livewell, in-deck fish boxes, and tackle storage. One of the highlights of the 58 is, of course, her enclosed, air-conditioned flybridge with its many amenities and outstanding visibility. A relatively light boat for her size, 1,500hp Cats cruise the Riviera 58 at just over 30 knots (35+ top) making her one of the quickest boats in her class.
