Smart styling, solid construction, and comfortable accommodations characterize the Riviera 37, an Australian-built convertible introduced into the American market in 2002. Like all Riviera models, the 37 rides on a stable modified-V hull whose solid fiberglass construction includes a watertight collision bulkhead forward and separate compartments throughout the hull. Below, the master stateroom is forward with a centerline island double, large hanging locker, and flat screen TV. Aft to port is the enclosed head with separate stall shower followed by the full-service galley. Opposite the galley is the guest stateroom with over/under bunk beds, night table with drawers, and storage. Most Riviera 37s came with a lower helm. Varnished teak woodwork, a large salon dinette, wraparound windows, and a teak-and-holly galley sole highlight the interior. Access to the engine room is gained from the cockpit where a transom door, insulated fish box, freezer and tackle center are standard. Fuel capacity is modest for a 37-footer. Cummins 380 QSB diesels cruise the Riviera 37 in the mid to high 20s (30+ wide open).
