Regulator’s largest boat ever—as of Summer, 2017 that is—the quad-powered 41 is built to fish and designed for comfort. The forward seating layout will appeal to families, and the Regulator’s indestructible hull and legendary ride insure that the 41 will keep on going when the going gets rough. Mounting the engines on brackets improves engine efficiency (by moving the props away from hull turbulence) while lengthening the running surface and increasing usable cockpit space. (On the downside, if the fish goes toward the stern a bracket makes it difficult to clear the motors.) Features include hull dive door with in-deck swim ladder, twin 40-gallon transom livewells, large transom fish box, air-conditioned helm, foldaway transom seat, and cockpit bolsters. The forward casting deck doubles as an entertainment area with a retractable bow table and seats with adjustable backrests. The Regulator’s stylish cabin (with side entry) features a fully equipped galley, convertible dinette with cherry table, and an enclosed head/shower with Corian counter. Regulators are tanks, not Porsches, and the overbuilt 41 is no lightweight. Quad Yamaha F350s top out at 55 knots.
