Distinctive styling, quality construction, and an innovative interior define the Regal 32 Express (called the Regal 33 Express beginning in 2018), a remarkably versatile family cruiser whose single-level cockpit is unusual in a midcabin boat. The 32 has more freeboard than most boats her size, but sleek hullside windows make her appear longer than just 32 feet. Below deck, the Regal’s well-appointed cabin features a wraparound sofa in the salon whose power-actuated seatback creates a queen-size berth at the bow—very clever. A 32-inch TV is located at the bottom of the floating companionway steps, and while the galley is on the small side it should easily meet the needs of most day cruisers. In the midcabin area, twin single berths can be joined to create a king-size bed (!). In the cockpit, the Regal’s single-level floor means passengers won’t have to step up and down from the helm. A deluxe wet bar is abaft the helm seat, opposite an L-shaped lounge, and the aft-facing seat at the transom converts into a sun pad. The 32 Express rides on a deep-V hull designed by the well regarded naval architect firm of C. Raymond Hunt & Associates. Volvo 300hp gas I/Os cruise at 28–30 knots (40+ top).
