The Regal 2760 Commodore (called the 2860 Commodore in 200205) is a well-built express with innovative cockpit seating and a space-efficient interior. Shes unlike most other cruisers her size in that she rides on a stepped hull, a design said to improve performance by ventilating the bottom. Below deck, the Commodore has a roomy midcabin floorplan with berths for six. The fore and aft sleeping areas, each with a double berth, are separated from the main cabin by a privacy curtains. (Note that the elbowroom in the aft cabin is at a premium.) In a departure from the norm, the refrigerator is under the forward berth, which frees up some storage space beneath the galley counter. Topside, the cockpit is arranged with a double-wide seat at the helm, an L-shaped settee opposite, and a bench seat at the transom. A walk-through windshield provides access to the big foredeck sun pad. Additional features include a molded bow pulpit, radar arch, cockpit wet bar, tilt wheel, and a transom door. Among several engine options, twin 220hp MerCruisers I/Os cruise at 2223 knots and reach a top speed in the mid-to-high 30s.
