Introduced in 1990, the Rampage 33 is a heavily built express fisherman whose quality construction and handsome lines gained an enthusiastic following among offshore anglers. She rides on a fully cored hull, and her wide beam and flared bow insure a dry and stable fishing platform in a variety of weather conditions. Below deck, the cabin features nearly all of the comforts required in a boat of this type, with a dinette that converts to a double berth, a standup head with shower, and a compact but complete galley with refrigerator, stove, a waste bin, and generous stowage. The Rampage 33 is loaded with thoughtful features sure to appeal to hard-core fishermen: good engine access, an oversized transom door, big in-deck fish boxes, lockable rod storage space, a hinged helm console, underwater exhausts, and a completely removable aft cockpit sole. The side decks are very wide. Gas engines were standard, but most buyers opted for diesel power. Optional Cummins 300hp diesels cruise the Rampage 33 at 24–25 knots and top out at close to 30 knots. Larger 320hp Cat diesels will run a knot or two faster.
