Introduced in 1993, the Pursuit 2855 Express Fisherman is a rugged offshore fisherman whose solid construction and comfortable ride make her a pleasure to fish in fair weather or foul. She was a good-looking boat in her day with crisp styling and integrated bracket/dive platform, and like all Pursuits the workmanship and finish are well above average. The cockpit of the 2855 is completely unobstructed and includes a transom door as well as a bait and tackle-rigging station in the transom bulkhead. A pair of molded fish boxes are located behind the companion seats, and the helm console is wide enough for flush mounting most necessary electronics. The only significant feature missing from the cockpit is horizontal rod storage under the gunwales. Below deck, the 2855 will sleep four (the dinette converts to a double berth and the seat backs swing up to form pilot berths) and includes a compact galley area and a standup head with shower. Additional features include fairly wide side decks, molded bow pulpit, balsa coring in the hullsides, and a windshield center vent. Twin 250hp outboards reach a top speed of close to 40 knots.
