The contemporary styling of the PT 46 Sundeck has held up well over the years which is more than might be said for many motoryachts her age. But its more than good looks alone that makes this boat worth a hard look by anyone in the market for a used cruising yacht. The PT 46 is simply a well-built boat: her solid fiberglass hull doesnt pound excessively when the seas pick up; the finish is as good or better than many Asian imports of her era; and her handcrafted teak interior imparts a sense of luxury that many boaters find irresistible. With her moderate 15'9"" beam, the PT 46 is not the biggest 46-footer on the block, but her accommodations are more than adequate for all but the most space obsessed. Offered with several floorplans, a two-stateroom layout with the galley down provides a very comfortable salon and features a booth-style dinette as well. An alternate three-stateroom plan has the galley to starboard in the salon. A lower helm is standard, and large salon windows provide panoramic views of the water. A teak-and-holly sale runs throughout the boat. A hardtop, bow pulpit, swim platform were standard. Cummins 270hp diesels cruise at 1415 knots (about 18 top).
