Styling trends may come and go but few would argue with the enduring appeal of Europa-style sedans. Several builders have offered Europa models over the yearsGrand Banks and Island Gypsy come to mindand its a safe bet that Europa designs will continue their popularity well into the future. For the used-boat buyer, however, the PT 41 Sedan stands out as a bargain compared to some of her high-priced counterparts. Built on a solid fiberglass hull with a flared bow and a shallow, full-length keel, the PT 41 boasts a traditional teak interior whose combined salon/galley area features an L-shaped settee/dinette, U-shaped galley forward (with full-size refrigerator/freezer), sliding deck access door, and standard lower helm. There are two large staterooms below; the forward master stateroom has a centerline queen berth, and the guest stateroom has over/under single berths. The roomy head compartment has a tub/shower. With her teak decks, teak window frames, teak handrails, teak swim platform and teak pulpit, the PT 41 is not a low-maintenance boat. Cruise at 8 knots with twin 135hp Perkins diesels; 1012 knots with twin 240hp Perkins engines.
