The PT 41 is a traditional double-cabin trawler with full walkaround decks and the total-teak approach to boatbuilding that made Taiwan-built boats so popular in this country some years ago. Comparatively inexpensive to buy when they were new, most Taiwan trawlers have retained their values well in recent years as the demand for trawler-style yachts has grown. The PT 41 is built on a solid fiberglass semi-displacement hull with a well-flared bow, moderate beam, and a long keel for directional stability. Her two-stateroom, galley-up floorplan is arranged with the U-shaped galley aft in the salon, and a tub/shower is located in the aft head compartment. With a sliding deck door at the lower helm and another across from the galley, deck access is easy on this boat. Although the full teak interior is a bit dark, the woodwork is certainly traditional and very well crafted. On the outside, the decks, cabintop, flybridge deck, window frames, handrails, and trim are all teak—the 41 is definitely not a low-maintenance boat. Additional features include a folding radar mast, generous storage, and teak swim platform. Twin 120hp Lehman diesels cruise at 7–8 knots.
