545 Cockpit MY

The 545 Cockpit Motor Yacht is basically a President 485 Motor Yacht with a six-foot cockpit extension. She’s built on a beamy modified-V hull with cored hullsides, an integral swim platform, and a relatively steep 16° of deadrise at the transom. (Note here that the earlier President 52 CMY [1987–91] is the same boat without the 545’s Euro-style transom.) The standard two-stateroom, galley/dinette-down floorplan is arranged with walkaround double berths in both staterooms and a surprisingly roomy salon with a lower helm. (Several alternate floorplans are available.) The teak (or oak) interior woodwork is well-finished, and the oversize cabin windows give the interior a wide open and spacious character. Outside, the aft deck and flybridge dimensions are about average for a boat this size. The cockpit, however, is big enough for some serious fishing and includes a transom door. Standard 550hp 6V92 Detroits cruise the President 545 Cockpit MY at 17 knots and reach a top speed of about 22–23 knots. Note that the President 52 Cockpit MY is the same boat without the 545’s transom.
