35 Double Cabin

The President 35 Double Cabin is a sturdy Taiwan import whose contemporary styling, full teak interior and affordable price offered buyers a good deal of value in a small aft-cabin boat. Built on a solid fiberglass hull with a relatively wide beam, the tall freeboard of the President 35 gives her a decidedly top-heavy appearance at dockside. it’s not easy to jam a livable two-stateroom interior into just a 35-foot hull, but President managed to offer a choice of floorplans in this boat (one shown below), all with the galley down and all with a separate stall shower in the aft head. A lower helm was optional, and storage—while not plenjpgul—is adequate for most weekend getaways. The aft deck of the President 35 is large enough for a couple of deck chairs, and wide side decks provide safe access to the bow. Above, the small flybridge is set up with guest seating aft of the centerline helm. A radar arch and hardtop were popular options. Among several engine options offered over the years, a pair of 225hp Lehman diesels cruise the 35 Double Cabin at 14–15 knots (about 18 knots top).
