Distinctive styling, an efficient hull, and quality construction characterize the Pacific Seacraft 38T, one of the new breed of “fast trawlers” made popular in recent years by those seeking traditional trawler styling with cruising-speed performance. Pacific Seacraft has long been recognized in the marine industry for their series of sophisticated bluewater sailboats, and the 38T—designed by Bruce King—is an especially handsome and seaworthy yacht. Her luxurious two-stateroom interior is arranged with the galley aft in the salon and an athwartships double berth in the master stateroom. A lower helm is standard, and the built-in salon settee converts into a double berth for extra overnight guests. Topside, the spacious flybridge features guest seating for a small crowd. A unique feature of this yacht is that it offers protected side decks in an aft-cabin configuration. Additional features include a fold-down mast and boom, full teak interior, boarding gates in both gunwales (a thoughtful touch), dual salon deck doors, and a bow pulpit. Not an inexpensive boat during her production years, twin Cat 350hp diesels cruise the Pacific Seacraft 38T at 15–16 knots (about 20 knots top).
