Queen of the Ocean fleet when she was introduced in 1986, the 63 Super Sport made good on her promise to deliver a balanced blend of speed, luxury, and hardcore fishability. Constructed on a relatively lightweight, flat-bottom hull with cored hullsides and a shallow keel, the Ocean 63 is a classic Jersey-style tournament sportfisherman with an opulent interior to go with her muscular good looks. Below deck, the floorplan is arranged with four staterooms, two extending beneath the salon sole and two others with a queen bed. The galley is forward in the salon on the deckhouse level, and an eye-catching, glass-enclosed rod locker is recessed into the wall in the forward passageway. The cockpit—not especially large for a 63-footer—is fitted with a teak sole and covering boards, and the flybridge is huge with seating for a small crowd. A good performer for her size, standard 900hp 12V71s cruise the Ocean 63 Super Sport at 25 knots (about 29 knots top). Optional 1,050hp 12V92s cruise at 27–28 knots with a top speed of 32 knots. MAN 1,050hp diesels cruise at 28 knots cruise (32–33 knots top). A total of 32 were built during her production years.
