The dramatic styling of the Monte Fino 82—together with her spacious accommodations and a competitive price—made this Taiwan-built luxury cruiser one of the more impressive big-boat values available in her era. She’s heavily built on a semi-V hull with a wide 20-foot beam, a shallow keel, and prop pockets to reduce shaft angles. While the 82 can be highly customized to meet a buyer’s requirements, a typical floorplan (shown below) would be arranged with crew quarters forward and three staterooms aft including a huge full-beam master suite. (Note that a salon staircase provides private access to the owner and guest cabins.) The elegant salon, with its facing settees and formal dining area, is separated from the galley and wheelhouse by a bulkhead. Topside, the aft engine room is entered from the cockpit via a watertight door.
