Spacious accommodations are a strong point of the Maxum 2700 SE (called the 2700 SCR in 200102), a maxi-volume express cruiser with sporty styling and a lengthy list of standard features. Built on a solid fiberglass modified-V hull, the high freeboard of the 2700 permits a very expansive interior with an impressive 6'4"" of headroom in the salon. The midcabin floorplan is arranged in a conventional manner with a convertible V-berth/dinette forward, full-service galley to port with microwave, enclosed head with electric toilet and shower, and an athwartships double berth aft with privacy curtain. On deck, a sun lounge is opposite the double-wide helm seat, and lounge seating is provided for up to eight adults. A gas-assist hatch in the cockpit sole provides easy access to the engine. Additional features include a cockpit wet bar, transom door, freshwater shower, walk-through windshield, four opening ports, trim tabs, and stereo/CD player. Among several engine options, a single 320hp MerCruiser sterndrive will cruise the Maxum 2700 SE at 20 knots and reach 30+ knots top. Note the modest 84-gallon fuel capacity.
