Marlow Yachts
70 Explorer
2003–12
The Marlow 70 Explorer combines the muscular pilothouse lines of all Marlow yachts with state of the art construction and an opulent interior. She’s built on a modern Kevlar-reinforced, fully cored hull using Marlow’s “Strut Keel” technology, a design that employs twin keels at the stern in addition to a shallow, single-centered keel. The Explorer’s salon, dominated by a posh U-shaped settee and deluxe entertainment center with pop-up TV, is very spacious and large windows make it feel even larger. A full-size bar with two seats is on the starboard side of the forward salon area. There are three staterooms and three heads below. The amidships master suite has a walkaround king bed, his-and-hers head with shared stall shower, and private salon access. The forward VIP stateroom has a queen berth and en suite head. The port guest stateroom offers two twin beds and an en suite head. Crew quarters with a double berth and full head are aft, accessed from the transom. The cockpit has a teak deck, twin transom doors, and a built-in seating area. Note that a Command Bridge model with enclosed flybridge was also available. Cat 800hp diesels cruise at 20 knots (low 20s top).
