61 Explorer

2004–12

Marlow Yachts 61 Explorer
Brokers who specialize in semi-custom motor yachts are nearly unanimous in their praise of Marlow boats. Introduced at the 2004 Miami Boat Show, the 61 Explorer combines rugged pilothouse styling with a unique twin-keel bottom designed for prop protection and down-sea stability. Built on a Kevlar-reinforced fully cored hull, the elegant main salon of the Marlow 61 has Ultraleather seating along both sides with a wet bar and wine cooler forward, to port, and an entertainment center forward. The pilothouse, three steps above the salon, features a gourmet galley, dining area for six, and a large helm area. Note the natural marbles and granites used in the galley. Below, there are three staterooms and three full heads on the lower level including a spacious full-beam master with king-size bed, VIP stateroom with king bed, and upper/lower berths in the second guest stateroom. The flybridge and boat deck are accessed via a floating staircase from the port side of the pilothouse and a staircase from the cockpit. The engine room is reached from the aft crew cabin. A Portuguese bridge protects the pilothouse. Cruise at 12–14 knots (about 20 knots top) with 700hp Cat C-12 engines.
