Marinette

32 Sedan

1976–89

Marinette 32 Sedan
An exceedingly popular boat, over 1,800 Marinette 32s of one type or another were built during her long production run—a highly successful design indeed. Construction is welded marine-grade aluminum, and her conservative 1970s-era styling stands in contrast to her lively performance and practical accommodations. A relatively wide 12-foot beam results in a good deal of living space below and the large cabin windows add to the spacious effect. The 32 Sedan is a practical family cruiser with a roomy single-stateroom interior, a small cockpit, and a well-arranged flybridge with guest seating aft of the helm. A portside lower helm came standard and the interiors were usually finished off with teak paneling and woodwork. Additional features include wide side decks, foredeck seating, and a roomy engine room. On the downside, the 35-gallon freshwater capacity is a bit modest and so is the fuel capacity. Several versions of the Marinette 32 were offered over the years including the popular 32 Express and a 32 Fisherman. At only 10,500 pounds, it’s no surprise that her performance is brisk. With a pair of 220hp Chrysler gas engines, she’ll cruise at 20 knots and reach a top speed of 28–30 knots.
