The Marinette 41 has the distinction of having been the only all-aluminum yacht her size built in America since Chris Craft quit building their series of steel and aluminum Roamers back in the 1970s. A good-selling boat with modern lines and a good turn of speed, the 41 rides on a conventional modified-V hull with a relatively wide beam and a shallow keel for directional stability. Two floorplans were offered during her production run, both two-stateroom affairs with the galley and dinette down. Both staterooms have walkaround double berths, and both heads have separate stall shower enclosures. Topside, the partially enclosed aft deck affords a comfortable entertaining platform for several guests, while the large flybridge is arranged with the helm forward and guest seating aft. Additional features include wide side decks, teak interior trim and cabinetry, bow pulpit, radar arch, and a swim platform. (Note that most 37s were sold with an optional hardtop.) At just 18,000 pounds, the Marinette is extremely light for her size thanks to her aluminum construction. With twin 350hp gas inboards she’ll deliver a cruising speed of 18 knots and a top speed in the high 20s.
