A good-selling model for Marine Trader, the LaBelle 43 Motor Yacht is a sturdy, fuel-efficient motoryacht with the traditional full teak interior common to all Asian imports of her era. She was built by Bestway Marine in Taiwan on a solid fiberglass, semi-displacement hull with a moderate 14'2"" beam and a deep, prop-protecting keel. While several floorplans were offered during her production run, most LaBelle 43s were delivered with a two-stateroom, two-head layout (two variations are shown here) with a well-appointed salon, full-service galley, and a notably spacious owner’s aft stateroom. (Indeed, the full-beam master rivals in size those found in many larger boats.) A lower helm and deck access door were standard, and both the salon sofa and dinette convert to double berths. If the salon dimensions are somewhat modest, the aft deck of the LaBelle 43 is very spacious. Wing doors were a popular option. Additional features include a standard hardtop, teak decks, and a teak swim platform. Among several engine options, twin 165hp Volvo diesels cruise the LaBelle 43 Motor Yacht at an economical 10 knots with a top speed of 13–14 knots.
