A drop-dead gorgeous 33-footer, the broken sheer, flared bow and stern tumblehome of the Mag Bay 33 only hint at the built-in quality of this premium West Coast center console. The creators of the Mag Bay have a long history in boat-building success—the company was formed in 2014 by Cabo Yachts founding partner Mike Howarth and his son, Barrett. Built on a high-performance twin-stepped hull designed by famed naval architect Michael Peters, the Mag Bay 33 is the company’s first model. Construction is solid fiberglass, and the unique lines of the Mag Bay rival anything in this class for unabashed sex appeal. Two fish boxes are built into the deck, one fore and one aft, each with its own macerator and lighting. A 70-gallon livewell is built into the transom and a second 40-gallon unit is under the aft deck. A tackle station behind the triple-wide helm seat features a cooler that slides out on tracks; with a cushioned top, it doubles as an aft-facing jump seat. Wide walkways aside the console are a plus, and a lounger forward of the helm provides a comfortable perch for enjoying the ride. Note the generous fuel capacity. Twin Yamaha F300s deliver a top speed of 45 knots.
