Distinctive styling and world-class engineering insured the success of the Lazzara 68, an American-built motor yacht whose 22-knot cruise speed and relatively shallow draft (meaning you can get to the Bahamas fast and actually can go cruising once you arrive) only add to her appeal. The 68 is the smallest Lazzara built but she competes with many larger boats thanks to an impressive inventory of features and amenities. Her standard four-stateroom interior includes a full-beam master suite with king bed and three comfortable VIP staterooms, each with its own head. The entire main deck of the 68, from the aft deck forward through the salon and country kitchen galley area, is on a single level. A day head is to starboard, opposite the galley, and the fully instrumented lower helm features a Stidd helm chair and sliding deck access door. Access to the flybridge is via an interior circular staircase or molded staircase on the aft deck. Most of the bridge is covered by a fiberglass hardtop equipped with lighting and speakers. A transom garage houses a tender. Additional features include an engine room workbench, bow/stern thrusters, and teak decks. Cat 1,000hp C-18 diesels cruise in the low 20s (26–27 knots top).
