Horizon Yachts
82 Motor Yacht
1999–2002
Horizon was a relatively new brand in the semi-custom motor yacht market when the 82 Motor Yacht was introduced in 1999. With her sleek styling and lush accommodations, the 82 could easily be mistaken for a purebred European luxury yacht. While the salon configuration differs from boat to boat, the 82’s pilothouse level has a large U-shaped galley to port with a day head/powder room opposite. The galley is open to the dining area forward with a rectangular high gloss varnished teak table surrounded on three sides by a leather settee. There are three staterooms below including a full-beam master with his-and-hers baths, marble floors and counters, and Jacuzzi tub. The VIP stateroom forward has a queen bed and private head, and the guest cabin to port has twin berths separated by a night stand. Crew quarters and the engine room are accessed from a stern entryway or via a staircase in the portside aft corner of the salon. A fully enclosed Skylounge was optional. Cat 1,400hp diesels cruise at 18 knots (20+ knots top). Note that an updated Horizon 82 model was introduced in 2004.
