70 Motor Yacht

1998–2002

Horizon Yachts 70 Motor Yacht
Introduced in 1998, the Taiwan-built Horizon 70 Motor Yacht turned out to be one of the company’s most popular models during her production years. She’s built on a semi-displacement hull with a wide 18'9" beam, cored hullsides and a shallow keel for directional stability. A semi-custom yacht, no two Horizon 70s are quite alike inside and there were several floorplan configurations on the main deck level. The galley and dining area are forward, open the salon, and a centerline lower helm was standard. There are three staterooms on the lower level including a spacious full beam master with walkaround king bed and his-and-hers heads with marble counters and floors. The VIP stateroom with queen berth is forward, and the second guest cabin to starboard has a double bed. Both guest staterooms share a common head. Additional features include high-gloss cherrywood woodwork, walkaround teak decks, Eurostyle transom with extended swim platform, laundry center, bow/stern thrusters, and crew quarters—reached from a staircase aft in the salon—with two staterooms and engine room access. Cat 1,400hp diesels cruise the Horizon 70 in the low 20s (26–28 knots top).
