Henriques

42 Convertible

2006–08

Henriques 42 Convertible
The Henriques 42 is a good example of why many knowledgeable East Coast anglers are drawn to Henriques boats. The company builds a solid boat whose conservative styling, huge cockpit and excellent range appeal to the offshore fishing crowd. Built on a moderate-deadrise hull with a solid fiberglass bottom, the standard two-stateroom interior is arranged with a mid-level galley and a single head compartment. The dinette is forward in the salon, and the master stateroom is fitted with a queen berth. This is a fairly typical layout for a midsize convertible, but it should be noted that because Henriques is a semi-custom builder alternate floorplans are available. Aside from her beefy construction, one of the more conspicuous features on the Henriques 42 is her massive 155-square-foot cockpit. Equipped with a pair of large in-deck fish boxes, tackle center, transom livewell, and direct engine room access, this is one of the largest fishing platforms to be found in a 42-footer. Additional features include Corian galley counters, recessed trim tabs, cockpit spreader lights, and fresh- and saltwater washdowns. Cat 700hp (or 660hp Cummins) diesels cruise the Henriques 42 at close to 30 knots.
