Offered with an open or enclosed bridge, the 58 Convertible combined the bold styling and quality construction always associated with the Hatteras brand. The 58 was at the top of her class when she was introduced in 1990 with a large 175 square-foot fishing cockpit and the interior accommodations of a much bigger boat. The contemporary salon is luxurious and well appointed, accented in light or traditional wood tones and featuring an L-shaped sofa, wet bar with ice maker, and built-in entertainment center. The full-service galleywith under-counter refrigeration and dishwasheris forward to starboard, opposite a curved dinette. Below, two of the three staterooms have walkaround queen beds and private ensuite heads. The third stateroom for guest or crew offers over/under berths, generous storage, and head with stall shower. The cockpit is set up for tournament-level fishing and includes an oversized transom door, live baitwell, molded tackle centers, engine room access, and a waist-level fish box built into the transom. The two-station flybridge features a centerline helm and plenty of guest seating. Heavily built on a low-deadrise hull, GM 1,350hp 16V92 diesels cruise at 2627 knots (30 knots top).
