Four Winns’ largest boat ever, the V475 (called the V458 in 2008–09) is an all-weather express cruiser designed from the ground up for Volvo IPS pod-drive propulsion. Pod drives were in the process of replacing traditional inboards when the V458 was introduced in 2008. Because they require less engine room space than inboards, Four Winns designers were able to craft an unusually spacious interior in the V475 with two private staterooms, each with its own head. A home-size galley is to port in the well-appointed salon, opposite a U-shaped Ultraleather sofa/dinette. The forward master stateroom has a separate shower enclosure to starboard, and a washer/dryer cabinet is found the aft stateroom. Topside, the V475’s expansive cockpit boasts standard air conditioning and seating for ten. Additional features include a fiberglass hardtop with triple skylights, cockpit wet bar with refrigerator, electric transom grill, and a huge extended swim platform. The entire aft deck rises for engine access. Lacking side decks, a windshield walk-thru provides secure foredeck access. Joystick controls make handling easy. Cruise at 25 knots (low-to-mid 30s top) with 435hp Volvo IPS pod drives.
