Formula
27 PC
1994–15
A popular boat for many years, the Formula 27 PC is a proven blend of quality construction, comfortable accommodations, and good open-water performance. Built on a solid fiberglass deep-V hull, the 18-degree aft deadrise is a good compromise between stability and performance. Her mid-cabin floorplan is arranged with a built-in entertainment center facing the dinette in addition to a large head, a stylish pod-type galley, and berths for four. This is one of the more luxurious interiors to be found in a 27-footer with quality hardware and furnishings throughout. Lacking side decks (foredeck access is via a walk-through in the windshield), the spacious cockpit of the 27 PC includes a double-wide helm seat, full wet bar, transom door, and a stowaway aft bench. Note that an electrically activated in-deck hatch provides access to the engine compartment. Additional features include a radar arch, cockpit hi-low table, swim ladder, and trim tabs. A single 310hp MerCruiser (available through 1999) will cruise the Formula 27 at 22–24 knots (mid 30s top), and twin 310hp MerCruisers cruise at 25 knots (about 40 knots top).
