Bridging the gap between the Fleming 55 and 65, it is impossible not to be impressed by the exceptional quality of the new Fleming 58. Called the Rolls Royce of long range boats by an Australian reviewer, the high bow and iconic pilothouse profile of the 58 are recognized worldwide. Wider and longer than the Fleming 55, the extra beam of the 58 allows for two helm seats in the pilothouse while the added length provides room for a day head in the pilothouse. There is more space in the engine room of the 58 as well, especially forward of the engines. Fleming offers the 58 with two main deck layouts, one with lower deck access from the salon galley area and the other (shown here) with access from the pilothouse. The 58’s very spacious salon features a large settee and dining table with either a smaller sofa or casual chairs opposite. Below, there are three basic plans allowing owners to have the master suite forward or amidships with various guest cabin configurations in between. Full walkaround side decks lead forward and up to the Portuguese bridge, and three large storage lockers on the foredeck can stow bumpers, deck cushions or extra line. MAN 800hp diesels cruise 14–15 knots (20 top).
