Introduced in 1991 and remaining in production through the 1998 model year, the Ferretti 60 (originally called the Ferretti 175) is a purebred Italian motor yacht with a distinctive Med-style appearance, luxurious accommodations and the kind of exciting performance seldom seen in an American-built motor yacht. She’s built on a beamy modified-V hull, which, when combined with her low-profile superstructure, results in a yacht of exceptional stability and comfort. The Ferretti 60 can entertain owner and guests in the standard four-stateroom floorplan, each with its own head. The galley is down (accessed directly from the salon), and a full dinette is opposite the lower helm. In good weather the entire rear salon bulkhead can be opened to form a common area with the aft deck. Impeccably finished with high-gloss mahogany woodwork and top-quality furnishings, the Ferretti’s interior can only be described as lavish even by today’s high-glitz standards. Outside, the swim platform is designed to handle an inflatable (and a jet ski inside) and includes a hydraulic davit. Twin 1,000hp V-drive MTU diesels provide a cruising speed of 26 knots and a top speed of 31–32 knots—excellent performance indeed for a 60-foot yacht.
