Fairline Yachts
46 Phantom
2000–2005
The 46 Phantom stands apart from other European flybridge yachts her size not just for her aggressive styling, but also for her spacious three-stateroom interior. It’s rare to find a 46-footer with three staterooms and the Phantom can even be ordered with a fourth (crew quarters) cabin aft for a total of four staterooms and three heads. Built on an easy-riding deep-V hull with propeller pockets, the galley is up in this layout (rather than down as it is on most European flybridge boats), and there are two pedestal seats at the elevated lower helm. While the guest cabins are fairly small, the Phantom’s galley—forward and to port in the salon—is large with plenty of counter space. The flybridge, which is partially shaded by a flybridge overhang, is equally spacious with four-across seating at the helm, a wet bar and a six-seat dinette aft that converts to a sun pad. Additional features include a teak cockpit sole and swim platform, molded flybridge steps, wide side decks and lacquered cherry interior joinery. A well-finished yacht with handsome lines, twin 480hp Volvo diesels cruise the Fairline 46 Phantom at 24 knots and reach a top speed of 28–29 knots.
