Replacing the very popular 48 Targa in 2003, the 52 Targa is further evidence (if anyone needs it) of Fairline’s ability to combine comfort and performance is a modern, state-of-the-art sportcruiser. The Targa is a very impressive yacht—the finish is exemplary, and the accommodations define comfort and luxury. Her standard three-stateroom interior is arranged with the master stateroom forward and two identical guest staterooms aft. A central seating unit forms the back to the galley, and both heads are fitted with separate stall showers. Note that the galley sole is an awkward step down from the salon floor that seems unnecessary considering the Targa’s tall headroom. High-gloss cherry joinery dominates the interior, and an optional den/office can replace the port guest cabin. Topside, the transom garage is big enough to handle a 12-foot tender, and access to the engine room—under the garage—is very good. Additional features include a superb helm position, foredeck fender lockers, teak cockpit sole, and excellent cabin and cockpit storage. The 52 Targa will cruise in the high 20s with 715hp Volvo diesels and top out at 35 knots.
