Doral Intrigue
Dramatic styling, spacious accommodations, and a good turn of speed characterize the Doral Intrigue (called the 310 SE in 2001–03), a well-built Canadian cruiser priced in the middle range of the 30-foot cruiser market. Built on a fully cored hull with a wide 11'2" beam, the Intrigue’s interior layout—with its curved, aft-facing dinette, ample galley and stylish woodwork—offers something different from most boats in her class. The forward berth is more for kids than adults, but the aft stateroom is surprisingly large and includes a cushioned seat in the entryway. Throughout the Intrigue’s interior one finds very good workmanship and many quality amenities. Topside, the cockpit can seat up to ten by extending the convertible aft bench out over the swim platform (which adds about 20 square feet to the cockpit area). There’s space at the helm for flush-mounting extra electronics, and a windshield walk-through provides easy access to the foredeck. Visibility from the raised helm is excellent. A cockpit wet bar, removable table, and fender racks are standard. Among several engines offered over the years, twin 320hp MerCruisers I/Os cruise in the high 20s (38–40 knots top).
