Doral
350 Boca Grande
1990–92
Clearly dated by today’s sportboat standards, the 350 Boca Grande was the largest boat in Doral’s fleet during the early 1990s. She was built on a solid fiberglass hull with moderate transom deadrise, and her 12'6" beam is fairly wide for a boat this size. The midcabin floorplan of the Boca Grande is arranged with an offset double berth forward and a convertible settee in the step-down amidships stateroom. The U-shaped dinette converts into a double berth for kids, and it’s notable that there’s a separate stall shower in the head compartment. Headroom is very good, and three hatches in the deck provide plenty of cabin ventilation. Topside, the bi-level cockpit features an adjustable double-wide helm seat, wet bar with ice maker, transom seat, and walk-through transom door. A swim platform was standard, and the side decks are wide enough for secure bow access. Additional features include a molded bow pulpit, foredeck sun pad, power cockpit hatch for engine access, and a radar arch. A well-finished boat, the Boca Grande will cruise at 17–18 knots with standard 340hp MerCruiser V-drive inboards and reach around 28 knots wide open.
