Doral

300 SC

1996–2000

In a market crowded with 30-foot midcabin cruisers, the Doral 300 SE’s oversized cockpit and distinctive styling set her apart from most competitive models her size and type. Indeed, the cockpit dimensions of the 300 SE are extravagant with lounge seating for seven or eight guests and room left over for a built-in wet bar behind the double-wide helm seat. Obviously designed with outdoor entertainment in mind, Doral engineers crafted in the 300 SE one of the most expansive cockpits to be found in a 30-foot express boat. While the belowdeck accommodations are not particularly roomy for a boat this size, the midcabin floorplan sleeps six although the offset forward berth is a tight fit for two average-sized adults. A full inner liner makes cleanup easy, and the flow-through ventilation ports in the midcabin are unique. Note that Doral also offered a sistership to the 300 SE—the 300 SC—with a larger interior and slightly reduced cockpit dimensions. Built on a fully cored hull, twin 5.7-liter MerCruisers I/Os cruise both models at 23–24 knots and reach a top speed of around 38 knots. With only 134 gallons of fuel, the cruising range is limited.
