The Bluewater 2850 is a full transom fishing machine from a company with a reputation for building quality fishing platforms. Bluewaters are semi-custom boats—they are sold factory-direct and no two are exactly alike. The deep-V hull of the 2850 is basically a stretched version of the company’s popular 25-footer with cored hull sides, a solid fiberglass bottom, and an Armstrong engine bracket. The storage capacity of the 2850 is impressive. Ahead of the console is a coffin box fitted with horizontal rod racks. Aft of this is an immense storage compartment flanked by a twin 200-quart boxes, and twin fish boxes flank the in-deck live well at the transom. Note the step up in the deck going forward from the aft cockpit to the bow area. Standard features include an anchor locker, leaning post with tackle center, 48-gallon transom livewell, bait prep station (transom), pop-up cleats, walk-in console with marine head, cockpit bolsters, fresh/raw-water washdowns, trim tabs, transom door, cockpit lights, and six gunnel rod holders. Note optional 340-gallon fuel capacity. Twin Yamaha 225hp outboards deliver a top speed in the range of 40 knots.
