27 Fisherman

A versatile boat with a wide beam and a seriously deep-V hull, the Blackfin 27 Fisherman will handle the kind of rough-water offshore conditions that keep most other center consoles her size at the dock. Simple and functional in design, she’s built on a solid fiberglass hull with a relatively wide beam, a well-flared bow, and a full-length inner liner to sjpgfen the hull. There’s nothing flashy about the Fisherman; this is a strictly business fishboat with a soft ride and a practical deck layout. There’s room at the helm for two pedestal seats (or a wide leaning post), and additional seating is found forward of the helm console. Note that there’s enough space abaft the console to install a large fishing chair. For trips away from home, the cuddy cabin comes with an adult-size V-berth in addition to a sink, storage shelves, and a marine toilet. Additional features include under-gunwale rod racks, bow pulpit, rod holders, and excellent storage. Most 27 Fishermen were sold with outboards, although a single 270hp gas engine (14–15 knots cruise/25 knots top) or 200hp Volvo diesel (20 knots cruise/24 knots top) were available as well. Twin 200hp Yamaha outboards cruise at 25 knots and reach a top speed of around 35 knots.
