Classic convertible styling, near 40-knot speed, and the only stairway bridge access in her class characterize the 630 Convertible, Bertrams replacement for the hugely popular Bertram 60 Convertible built from 1990 through 2005. To boost her top-end speed, Bertram engineers gave the 630 less transom deadrise than her deep-V predecessor in addition to adding prop pockets to level the engines. The bottom is solid fiberglass, and a long keel provides directional stability. Inside, the high-gloss cherry interior of the Bertram 630 rivals a small motoryacht for comfort and luxury. A vast U-shaped leather sofa to port dominates the salon with storage cabinets opposite and galley and dinette forward. There are four staterooms and three heads below including an amidships master with walkaround queen bed and an equally spacious VIP stateroom with queen berth. A mezzanine deck overlooks the cockpit with its transom fish box and livewell, bait freezer, and transom door with lift-up gate. The 630s large flybridge has three helm chairs and U-shaped seating forward. Additional features include a removable aft salon window, standup engine room, bow thruster, and trolling valves. MTU 2,000hp engines cruise at 3334 knots (high 30s top).
