Built on the same offshore hull used in the production of the Bertram 58 Convertible, the Bertram 58 Motor Yacht was the company’s largest entry in the 1970/1980s motor yacht market. She was also one of the last flush-deck motor yachts produced, so it’s no surprise that her lines are very dated by today’s design standards. Heavily built on a solid fiberglass hull, the three-stateroom, galley-down interior of the Bertram 58 remained essentially unchanged for her entire decade in production. The salon features a comfortable seating arrangement on the starboard side, dining area to port, large wet bar, and built-in entertainment cabinet. The full-beam master stateroom has a centerline king bed with a walk-in closet and private head with shower and tub. Forward, on the port side is the guest stateroom with twin beds and private head with separate shower. All the way forward is the third stateroom with upper and lower bunks and its own head. Like all flush-deck designs, the lower helm is located on the aft deck where visibility is excellent and the social layout is more inviting that topside on the 58’s tiny flybridge. A good sea boat, GM 650hp 12V71 diesels cruise at 16–18 knots.
