Bertram aimed high in 2002 with the introduction of the 570 Convertible, a purebred sportfishing machine characterized by the Italian-inspired styling of the Ferretti Group, the company that purchased Bertram in 1998. The 570 is built on a stretched version of the legendary Bertram 54 hull with moderate beam, cored hullsides, and a solid fiberglass bottom. Below decks, the three-stateroom interior features a very spacious salon with an Ultraleather sofa and cherry cocktail table to port, entertainment center opposite, and frameless windows all around. The galley and dinette are forward, one step up from the salon. The master stateroom is amidships to port with walkaround queen berth and private head with shower. The VIP stateroom forward also has a queen berth and private head, and the third cabin features Bertram's unique side-by-side berths and nightstand and adjoining head that is also accessed from the companionway as a day head. In the cockpit, an oversized transom door with gate is standard along with a full tackle center with sink, freezer, and livewell. The flybridge has U-shaped lounge seating forward of the helm. A fast ride, 1,300hp MAN diesels cruise at 30 knots (mid 30s top).
