Born in North Miami and raised in Palm Beach County, Florida, Brian Komer grew up backcountry fishing with his family in the Florida Keys which quickly progressed into his love for offshore fishing. When he graduated high school, he moved south, attending Florida Keys Community College to achieve an Associates of Science degree in Marine Environmental Technology. Brian maintains his Advanced PADI Dive Certification and his 100-ton Captains license, and has captained multiple private sportfishing yachts, including custom and production. Fishing professionally for over 17 years and winning many tournaments and series, his travels have brought him all over Florida, the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Dominican Republic, USVI, BVI, St. Martin, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Panama, Costa Rica, Belize, Honduras, Mexico, and most of the entire eastern seaboard of the us and Alaska.
Most recently, Brian worked full-time for the Viking Yacht Company for 7 years, where he was the company’s demo boat Captain for the last 5 years. As an HMY Yacht Sales Professional, Brian enjoys using his extensive knowledge of Viking Yachts, sportfishing, and the yachting industry to find the most qualified yacht for each customer. He strives to take first-class care of each boat and their owner, and he believes that care does not end at the sale, but is a continuous supportive relationship.
