The 56 Viking has the reputation as one of the best running and best laid out classic Viking hulls of all time.  Her modified V hull has 15 degrees of deadrise aft, a wide 18’2” beam and shallow 4’10” draft.  The 2006 56 Viking OSPREY III is a fantastic example of a highly upgraded and open check book maintained 56.  She has low hours on her optional MTU engine package. Her current owner spent hundreds of thousands of dollars from 21 to 23 with the plan of her being a forever boat.  Plans have changed and OSPREY III is in turnkey condition for the benefit of her next owner.  Her spacious 3 state room 2 head layout is perfect for an adventurous family or professional fishing team. The 2006 56 Viking OSPREY III can easily be boarded from her swim platform or straight into the cockpit.  Once on board you cannot help but feel her wide 18’2” beam. This beam allows for the cockpit to easily accommodate a fishing team or party crowd.  The centerpiece of the cockpit is perhaps the coolest and most ingenious rocket launcher I have ever seen.  The 7 rod launcher, when not being used for fishing has a custom slide out MAGMA propane grill for dockside or underway barbecues. Enter the Main Salon through the automatic door from the cockpit.  Her interior is beautifully crafted in high gloss teak wood and trim.  The wood is in excellent shape, and she has been redecorated tastefully.  She has NO CARPET. The 2006 56 Viking OSPREY III has a spacious three stateroom two head layout.  Immediately to starboard is the large guest two bunk stateroom.  The bunks are arranged perpendicular with the lower berth athwartships and oversized.  The second bunk is elevated fore and aft over storage cabinets. Just fwd of the elevated bunk is a cedar lined hanging locker. This stateroom has inside access to a head that also doubles as a day head with hallway access.  The stackable washer dryer is housed inside the head adding to stateroom volume.  State room and head highlights include:
