Viking 74 Convertible [Walkthrough]

How you doing? Rob Spano with HMY Yacht Sales. Today I'm on the 74 Convertible here at the 2024 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. We're going to take a look at this boat and see all the new options that they've put on this new model. We're going to start here in the cockpit and the fact that Viking delivered 75 hulls of the 72 model gave them the opportunity to have a lot of feedback from owners and anglers alike, as well as the Viking team fishing four seasons on the 72 demo. They added 14 inches into this cockpit, which opened up space for the new larger SK40 seat cooler here in the center hatch. And of course, the mezzanine and the cockpit come with all the options you'd expect to see on a Viking sportfish. Up here on the flybridge of the 74 Convertible, the greatest improvement really is the visibility at the helm. With the seven-inch raised helm pod, as well as the new configured helm, you've got easy access to all your Garmin displays here in the front, engine displays, drop-down box. Here in the back, we've got three release helm chairs, as well as your teaser box, which does have an app-facing Garmin. One of the great features of this new helm layout is this lounge seating area with the air conditioning in the backrest. You've got plenty of refrigeration and freezer space, everything to make you feel very comfortable on a long ride home. In the salon of the new 74, you'll notice the configuration has been swapped from the 72 configuration. First entering the salon door, of course, the day head. Moving forward in the salon, you come to a U-shaped couch with an optional seating for seven facing the entertainment system with a large pop-up TV. Forward in the salon is the U-shaped dinette for seating for five facing the galley, which of course has our Sub-Zero refrigeration system. It does come with the option for a walkthrough if you prefer the island layout. Just forward of the galley is the enlarged pantry, which is great for increased storage of dry goods on those longer trips. The 74 Convertible offers an exceptional layout below deck. We have four staterooms, each with its own ensuite head. They're all roomy and beautifully appointed. The full beam master stateroom is especially impressive. King-size bed, a sitting area, ample storage, not to mention luxurious ensuite head. Guests will be just as comfortable in the VIP and two additional staterooms, so everyone on board has their own private space to relax. 74 Convertible is powered by twin MTU engines at 2600 horsepower each, giving you the top speed of 45 knots. Viking is focused heavily on fuel efficiency without compromising on power, so whether you're heading to the canyons or cruising the coastline, you're getting a yacht that's not only powerful, but efficient.
