(Fort Lauderdale, Florida, October 30, 2024) – ECLIPSE Yachts is set to redefine luxury yachting with the highly anticipated debut of the ECLIPSE 505 Shadow model at the prestigious Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. This long-awaited unveiling marks a significant milestone for ECLIPSE Yachts as the company continues to push the boundaries of yacht design, engineering, and performance.
ECLIPSE Yachts, while a new concept, gathered the most experienced industry professionals from across the globe to design what is now being referred to as the “contemporary classic” in the express cruiser market. The unveiling of the 505 Shadow represents the culmination of endless hours and dedication to truly creating a one-of-a-kind yacht that will surely be a showstopper this October at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Unrivaled Collaboration
When it came to assembling a team of experts, it was paramount that those involved were the best in their field and up to the task of creating something truly unique. This is exactly what happened when Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing, Design Unlimited, and Michael Peters Yacht Design joined forces to create the ECLIPSE Yacht line. Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing brought its unmatched expertise in large scale, custom yacht manufacturing, ensuring craftsmanship, cutting-edge performance, and state-of-the-art construction methods. Design Unlimited infused the project with luxurious, meticulously designed interiors that elevate comfort and elegance, while Michael Peters Yacht Design contributed the innovative patented hull design and sleek exterior lines. Collectively, they’ve crafted a vessel that redefines the standards of sophistication and innovation in the yachting world.
“The ECLIPSE 505 Shadow is truly unmatched in the market,” said David Jirikovic, brand manager at HMY Yacht Sales, the ECLIPSE preferred dealer. “We’re proud to set a new industry benchmark by combining the agility of a Michael Peters SVVT hull design, powered by triple Mercury 600 hp V12s, with the sophistication of a luxury cruiser.
“There seemed to be a gap in the market for a non–center console, yacht-like contemporary vessel that incorporates all of the layouts you would expect in a modern boat,” said Michael Peters from Michael Peters Yacht Design. “We took an approach of taking what we thought were the best attributes and put them into one product. And that’s what ECLIPSE offers”.
A Closer Look at the 505
The ECLIPSE 505 Shadow features a sleek and modern yet classic design, with a 14’ 8” beam that provides ample space for both relaxation and entertainment. The yacht’s advanced engineering allows for superior fuel efficiency and range, ensuring that owners can explore farther and stay longer without compromise.
The 505 Shadow is versatile enough to excel in various roles, whether as a high-performance sport yacht, a luxurious cruiser, or a tender for a superyacht. Equipped with state-of-the-art Mercury propulsion systems, the 505 Shadow is engineered to deliver exhilarating speeds while maintaining exceptional stability and handling.
Automotive Influence
ECLIPSE Yachts has also ensured that the 505 Shadow is ready for the future with an array of automotive inspired advanced technologies and features. Silver Arrows Design bridged the automotive-marine divide with their original concepts resulting in its intuitive helm station, technology integration, and salon layout. Every aspect of the yacht has been meticulously crafted to provide the ultimate on-water experience.

Inspired by the pursuit of perfection to create something that had never been done before. The thrill of the open road mastered on the water. A collaboration amongst top engineers in both automotive and marine industries. The perfect combination of luxury, craftsmanship, technology and performance. This is Eclipse. Every curve, every detail designed with a purpose. With a state-of-the-art factory measuring over 25,000 square feet. A workforce nearly 1,600 strong. And industry figureheads at the helm. This is more than an innovation. It's a revolution. This is the future of yachting. This is Eclipse. Thank you. Two and a half years ago, just over two and a half years ago, a whole lot of people sat in a corner and said, boy, we ought to do something that's a little bit different. All this started from scratch, from a couple of drawings and a couple of little chats. And now you can see how this has developed. It's real. It's here. It runs. It's a rock star. And it's just the start. Right now, as you can see, you've got entire full plants full of people, development, massive capital investment, four continents to make this happen. There aren't two on the line. There aren't four. There are 14 at a given time. And that's just the 50. Next year at this time, you'll see its big, big sister, the 605. So if you like what you see here, think about a lot larger and a lot more. As Steve Monahan would say, the owner of our company, what's next? Well, what's next is right in front of you. Medium, large, and now we're bringing in more volume and easier to manage sizes, if you want to call it, in the 45, called the 455, and the 395. These are both Michael Peters designs, just like the 505 and 605. You'll see all the different little details that you see here in a sportier package. We'll be seeing release of the 455 approximately Miami of 2026. The 395 will follow six or seven months later. So within our next 18 months, you're going to see essentially three more new models. So if you like what you're seeing now, hold on for the next little bit of time. Because as Tim Derico would say, blink, it's Lauderdale next year. I'm Dave Jerkoic, HMY Yacht Sales. Thank you.
