Go behind the scenes with Jon Zybrowski, who is in charge of HMY’s Viking QC at the Viking factory!

My name is John Zebrowski. I've been with HMY for over 18 years now, and my job has evolved during that time. I started out in the service department, mainly in Charleston, South Carolina, and worked my way up here. And now I probably spend one third to a half of my time working here at the factory and delivering new yachts to South Florida, either customer owned vessels or our inventory. What I do for the quality control process is I start up in the building at production, and I get to look at the boats while they're coming down the line. I don't actually get on board and start to do the punch until they reach the water. When they get to the water, the crew here does startup, and they start finishing their side of the quality control. And that's where I come in, HMI comes in to do our punch list. What that'll consist of is pretty much everything on board. It could be exterior. We look at what Palm Beach Towers does and what Viking does with the tops, with the riggers, with the towers, teak, we inspect the teak. We go through the whole boat. We're looking for aesthetics. We're looking for making sure that all the electrical works. We, you know, we fire up the generators. We look at data from the engine manufacturers, sea trial reports, on and on. Pretty much anything you can think of inside the boat that we can help to improve on for our customers.
