Viking Yachts held its annual new model VIP Showcase in February again this year and the excitement was undeniable as everyone had their eyes on the new 72 Convertible and 37 Billfish. Just under 1,000 people were present to view each boat and clients interested in purchasing were allowed to sea trail. The weather could not have been more perfect as February's in Florida usually are.

Hi, I'm Rob Bowman with HMY Yacht Sales, and we're out here today at the Viking Yachts VIP event in Riviera Beach, Florida. What a day it's been. We've had close to 6 to 700 customers here, another 100 vendors, another 100 brokers, so just under a thousand people have enjoyed an incredible day. We'll end up running somewhere around 45 sea trials. We introduced our new 37 Billfish, which has been a great success here today. Yesterday I got a chance to drive it. It is an absolute captain's dream. The maneuverability and the handling was phenomenal. One of the new things that Viking has done on this boat is put a really good sound insulation package in it, and when we're running at cruise speeds, it is extremely quiet down below. Using the bow thruster and the controls, the boat spins around and backs up like no other production boat has ever built in the history of fishing. This year we've got 18 different yachts on display, from the 37 Billfish all the way up to the 92 Enclosed Bridge, and the new 75 Motor Yacht, of which HMY Yachts will have one at the upcoming Yachts Miami Beach show. Our HMY clients love coming out here, spending time with the brokers, getting to know the folks at the Viking Yacht Service Center, just being able to spend time with Pat Healy and learn about the history of Viking and the quality and the production that goes into these boats. The weather cooperated probably better than it's ever had for this event. Just enough wind to get a nice bump on the ocean and just pretty blue skies and mid-70s temperature. It couldn't be better. We want to thank all of our clients that made it out this weekend, and we look forward to seeing you in the future.
