Overview

One of Viking’s most popular models, the graceful lines of the 74C have become the standard for convertibles in this class.

Viking continued its dominance of the convertible sportfish market with the introduction of the 74 Convertible in 2005. Available in open and enclosed bridge configurations, her wide-open interior is similar to larger Viking convertibles with L-shaped seating aft and the galley and dinette forward. The galley features two Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer units, granite counters, and the salon's 50-inch pop-up TV. Note the day head forward of the galley. The 74C came standard with four staterooms, including crew quarters with direct engine room access. (An optional fifth stateroom is forward and to starboard.) Each stateroom has a private head with a separate stall shower, and the owner's suite with king size bed, end tables and L-shaped lounge takes full advantage of the boat's 19'9" beam. A spiral stairway provides inside access to the enclosed bridge. The huge 218 square foot cockpit is outfitted with a transom door and gate, in-deck fish box, livewell and ice box. An observation mezzanine with aft-facing lounges houses tackle cabinets, bait freezer, and stowage. A total of 45 Viking 74s were built. MTU 2,400hp 16V2000 diesels cruise at 30+ knots (high 30s top).
