60 Cockpit Sport Yacht
1995–2000
Named Boating Magazine’s Boat of the Year in 1995, the 60 Cockpit Sport Yacht is basically a Viking 54 Sport Yacht (1994–2001) with a cockpit extension. The popularity of this yacht has much to do with her comfortable accommodations. The enclosed aft deck, two steps above the main salon, serves as a second salon. Overlooking the cockpit, this roomy climate controlled space is the perfect spot for entertaining family and friends. The well-appointed lower salon has an L-shaped leather sofa to port, U-shaped galley forward, and an L-shaped dinette with teak table across from the galley. The Sport Yacht sleeps six in three staterooms including a large full-beam master suite aft with a walk-in closet and access to the standup engine room. A VIP stateroom with en suite head/shower is forward, and the second guest stateroom to starboard has upper/lower bunks and a private head/shower. The flybridge — also enclosed and air-conditioned — features three helm chairs. lounge seating, and a full width console. With 70 square feet of space and a transom door, the cockpit is a great swimming and diving platform. MAN 1,050hp diesels cruise at 24 knots (about 28 knots top). This was the last motor yacht Viking built until 2014.
