35 Convertible

Viking Yachts 35 Convertible
Among the best—if not the best—small flybridge cruisers ever produced, the Viking 35 Convertible was the gold standard by which other boats in her class were measured following her introduction by Viking Yachts back in 1975. She had the right look—the right blend of quality and personality—to insure not just a solid record of sales success, but a long-standing reputation for owner satisfaction few boats her size can match. Built on a modified-V hull with cored hullsides and a relatively wide 13-foot, 1-inch beam, Viking offered the 35 Convertible with two floorplans; a single-stateroom layout with the galley down, and a less popular two-stateroom floorplan with the galley in the salon. The grain-matched teak interior joinery (in post 1980 models, that is; before that the interior was mica) remains one of the more appealing features of this boat, and while the fabrics and decor are dated by modern standards the quality hardware, furnishing and appliances speak for themselves. The Viking 35’s large cockpit has space for two anglers and their gear but lacks a transom door. Wide side decks are a plus. Standard 350hp Crusader gas engines cruise at 18 knots (26–27 knots max).
